WASHINGTON (AP) — Swingman Maurice Evans, a union vice president during the NBA lockout, has re-signed with the Washington Wizards. The Wizards announced the one-year contract with Evans during halftime of their exhibition opener against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night. Evans averaged 9.7 points and 2.8 rebounds in 26 games with Washington after arriving from the Atlanta Hawks in a trade in February.

Advertisement WASHINGTON — Free-agent guard Roger Mason has signed a one-year contract with the Washington Wizards, returning to a team he played for from 2006-08. Before having their first practice of training camp Friday, the Wizards also signed their three draft picks: Jan Vesely, Chris Singleton and Shelvin Mack.
